This very special memorial honors Alan L. Fox’s legacy, helping to ensure the work that was so near and dear to him continues. As an integral part of Rancho Los Cerritos, Alan’s commitment to the site spanned many years, including over 11 of those serving on the Rancho Los Cerritos Foundation Board of Directors.

Especially enamored with the gardens, Alan spent much of his time amidst the enchanting surroundings he loved so much. His dedication led him to complete garden docent training, where he learned in-depth knowledge, helping not only himself but also those around him get a better understanding of the Rancho’s 4.7 acres.

Born on April 5, 1942, Alan L. Fox was called to his final rest on April 4, 2024, just one day shy of his 82nd birthday. Alan’s legacy lives on in the lives he touched including those who enjoy the beauty of Rancho Los Cerritos. Alan is survived by his lovely wife, Cheryl Scott Fox.
