Whether you are visiting virtually or in person, we hope you feel connected to the history of Rancho Los Cerritos and the many people who have lived on this land.
Take a Virtual Tour of Rancho Los Cerritos’ Historic Adobe House
Rancho Los Cerritos offers two options for visiting the site virtually: a 3D tour hosted via Matterport and an online version of RLC’s self-guided tour hosted via The Clio.
3D Tour of the Rancho Los Cerritos Adobe:
As you explore the Rancho in this virtual format, you can “move” through the adobe house and “step” into most of the exhibit rooms. Inside the rooms, RED pins provide a short overview of each room and how it was used. GREEN pins highlight various artifacts within each room, allowing them to be seen up close and in 3D.
Move through the space in several ways by:
- Using your mouse to drag the screen in the direction you would like to move through the space; Clicking on a circle you see on the ground will take you to that circle (or move you towards that circle if it is too far away).
- Using the arrow keys on your keyboard to move forward (up), backward (down), left and right.
- Using the WASD keys on the keyboard to move forward (W), backward (S), right (D), and left (A).
Thank you to Craig Sauer for all your hard work in filming and creating this tour.
Self-Guided Tour of RLC’s Adobe House & Gardens:
This self-guided tour is mainly text-based, with photos and links to additional online content. This tour is hosted on the Clio, an educational website and mobile application that guides the public to thousands of historical and cultural sites throughout the United States along with nature trails, art walking tours, and virtual tours of museums and sites.
